Stripe partners with Twitter to launch new e-commerce API, Relay

Stripe partners with Twitter to launch new e-commerce API, Relay

Stripe has revealed its new set of tools for retailers called Relay – an API that’s designed to make the mobile shopping experience easier for both shoppers and sellers.

Using Relay, merchants can publish their products and apps and also enable instant purchases through a buy button. Partnering with Twitter for its launch, the one-click buy button can even be added to tweets.

Retailers using Relay have the option to add a ‘remember me’ feature that allows Stripe to hold users payment information so they won’t need to re-enter it every time they shop, even if it’s from a different store.

There’s no need to set up an account with Stripe to use the handy feature, you just need to put your details in when you click on the buy button for your first purchase and voilá.

Partners at launch include Warby Parker, Twitter, ShopStyle, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tuff & Needle, Teespring, FabFitFun, Hello, Glossier, Wish and Spring.
