Yahoo is shutting down Maps, Pipes and a bunch of services you’ve probably never heard of

Yahoo is about to end support for some products you use, and kill some you’ve probably never heard of.

In Yahoo’s latest product report, we find some older Apple products are not being supported for various products. Yahoo Mail on iOS 4 or earlier (seriously) will no longer be supported, and Macs running OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or earlier will no longer be able to sync Yahoo contacts.

In addition to that, Yahoo is shuttering Maps in June, but sites like Flickr will continue to support Yahoo Maps.

In Spain, Yahoo Movies is closing. Yahoo Music will be discontinued in France and Canada, while Yahoo TV will cease to exist in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Canada. Yahoo Autos is shutting down in France, UK, Germany, Spain and Italy.

For developers, Yahoo is ending support for the GeoPlanet and PlaceSpotter APIs, and Pipes (a data migration tool) is also shutting down.

Don’t feel bad — we’d never heard of most of those things, either.
