Shipping startup Shyp is expanding a beta of its delivery program to Los Angeles, following a fresh $50 million injection of cash in its Series B funding round.
Since launching a little over a year ago for iOS devices, the company expanded from San Francisco to New York and Miami, and introduced an Android app for its on-demand shipping and returns service.
Shyp said the money, raised in a round led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), will be used to “expand the Shyp team, further develop our product and feature suite to solve new pain points (like we did with Shyp Returns) and expand nationally.” In total, the company has now taken on $62.2 million of funding, it said.
