Losing your phone is really annoying if you’re late for something and need to rush out. Fret no more, Android Wear users – Google now lets you find your phone with your smartwatch thanks to an update adding Wear support to Android Device Manager.
On your watch, simply say “Ok Google. Start. Find my phone” or select the ‘Find my phone’ option from the start menu to reconnect with your beloved device. Your phone will ring at full volume so long as it’s within range of your smartwatch.
Granted, that’s only Bluetooth’s short range, but I’ve wanted this for a while – when you’re used to having your notifications on your wrist all the time, you’re more likely to just leave your phone in a jacket pocket or under a pile of laundry on your bed.
Google says the update will roll out to all Android wear users over the next few weeks.
