iFixit launches a hub for Android device repairs

iFixit launches a hub for Android device repairs

The crazy team behind all those those iPhone and iPad teardowns, Fixit, is getting more serious about Android.

The service today launched i’s Android Repair hub, loaded with hundreds of guides and amarketplace for replacement parts. The guides cover 252 devices, whereas the store features parts for a smaller selection of phones and tablets.

iFixit also sells tools for making your repairs easier, including ones for prying open your device, special screwdrivers and soldering devices. There are also pre-organized toolkits if you need many pieces at once.

Since there are more Android devices than Apple ones, technically proficient community members can help iFixit out by writing their own guides, or donating broken devices.
