Microsoft is reportedly buying Sunrise calendar app for over $100 million

Microsoft has been on a bit of a string of acquisitions lately, and as of today it can add calendar app Sunrise to its list.

According to TechCrunch, Microsft paid over $100 million for app maker. Sunrise’s apps are known for their clean and simple design, and the calendars source your tasks and events from a variety of providers, including Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, iCloud as well as social media like Facebook, LinkedIn and Foursquare.

The apps are available for Android, iOS, Mac and the Web (no dedicated Windows or Windows Phone client, ironically).

We’ve contacted Microsoft for comment and will update if we hear back.
