At an event today, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio launched Digital.NYC, a website designed to be a comprehensive “hub for tech and startups” in the city.
Mayor de Blasio called the portal “the ultimate tech matchmaker.” The site includes sections for news, a startup database and map, events, videos, resources, workspace listings and jobs. At launch, the site includes listings for roughly 6,000 startups.
The initiative is a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors with support from IBM, Gust and NYEDC.
