Wikimedia has been thinking hard about how to better humanize it’s editable encyclopedia, with a project kicking off last September to try with the aim of showcasing the humans behind the articles.
Today, the company has taken the wraps off a new mobile design that puts the emphasis on how recently articles have been edited and who was the last human to edit them, in an attempt to surface the humans behind the vast amount of content on the site.
The changes are in the hope that Wikipedia can get more regular visitors contributing to the encyclopaedia. By showing users the age of articles, Wikimedia hopes that they will be compelled to edit them as they get stale.
