Fab.com co-founder Bradford Shellhammer departs, but says he will remain a non-executive advisor

Fab.com co-founder Bradford Shellhammer is leaving the company to pursue “other adventures”. Fellow co-founder and CEO Jason Goldberg announced the move on his blog, Betashop, and confirmed that Shellhammer will continue to work with Fab as a non-executive advisor.

“Roles and people change,” Goldberg said. “Business models evolve. But our motivation at Fab stays constant: to brighten peoples’ lives with design. Bradford helped ensure that was the cornerstone of our mission at Fab. It is forever embedded in our DNA and we aim to honor Bradford daily by fulfilling that mission.” Shellhammer added on his own website: “What’s next for me? I don’t know yet and don’t intend to for some time. That’s part of exploration.”

Goldberg announced in the early part of October that the company would be losing 101 employees. A further 100 were let go back in July.
