Tempo’s smart calendar app adds support for 20 providers to its single-touch conference call feature

Tempo’s smart calendar app adds support for 20 providers to its single-touch conference call feature

Smart calendar app Tempo has updated its iOS app to make it easier to manage conference calls. With this release, the app now supports 20 call providers, including GoToMeeting, WebEx, and UberConference, enabling users to dial in using its one-touch feature.

Being able to manage meetings while on the go is of particular importance to some. When you have a conference call with people, having to remember the dial-in number and the passcode to register is pretty time intensive and rather inconvenient when on the road — you have to look up the information in your email and then memorize it to call in. Tempo seeks to make this process easier with just one tap of the screen.

Company CEO Raj Singh says, “juggling between the calendar and the dialer just plain sucks, especially when you find yourself on the freeway running late! We created TempoSmart Calendar to anticipate your needs so you can focus on the meeting, saving you time, taps and stress.”

Tempo claims that its service can not only quickly identify which meetings are conference calls, but also send pre-populated messages to participants when you’re running late. And with the addition of event sharing released last week, users can also invite other people to their phone meetings.

Since its launch back in February, the company says that it has saved users more than 1 million taps — meaning that people have been able to quickly get the information they need and get to the call instead of wasting precious time scouring their emails for the right dial-in information.

Companies that are now supported by Tempo include AccuTalk.net, AdConferencing, AnyMeeting, Calliflower, Free Audio Conferencing, Free Conference USA, Free Conference, FreeConferenceCall.com, Fuze, GlobalMeet, GoToMeeting, Join.me, PowWowNow, Rondee, TalkShoe, Totally Free Conference Calls, UberConference, WebEx, and Wiggio.

Tempo is a creation of SRI International and functions as a app to help people manage their day and be more productive. The amount of time we spend in meetings obviously varies by person, but busy professionals are often pulled into meeting after meeting after meeting.

This app helps professionals not only know where they’re going, but makes it possible to get the relevant information to have a productive meeting, including curating emails, documents, and even contact information about participants.

Support for many of the popular conference call providers may help separate Tempo from other smart calendar apps, including Fantastical and Sunrise.
