Later this month, Google is launching its own “first-of-its-kind livestream festival” called GOODFest.
Aimed at bringing together “music, community and technology,” the initiative will raise money for non-profits through ticket sales and online donations.
Here’s how Google describes the motivation behind its new festival:
GOODFest is a celebration of progress, positivity, and the power of people to push the world forward. In five livestreamed shows, we’re bringing together music, community, and technology to raise funds and connect people in the name of good.
As part of the festival, Google will host five independent events, dedicated to five different causes, in five separate cities across the US, including New York City, New Orleans, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The Big G will kick off GOODFest in New York City on November 29. Head to the festival’s official page for more details.
