Google’s instant search suggestions are about to get a better. An update, which is rolling out now, shows answers to short questions directly in the autocomplete options as you type them.
A query like “when did Hawaii become a state?” shows the answer in the suggestions dropdown. The change only appears to work with queries that have short answers, mainly related to dates.

The change appears to be rolling out slowly, with some people seeing it in the Chrome and Google apps for both iOS and Android.
