Google Street View comes to Bangladesh

Google Street View comes to Bangladesh

Google’s Street View vehicles have been doing the rounds in Bangladesh to bring you sights from the country’s capital of Dhaka and its port city Chittagong on your desktops and mobile devices.

Bangladesh is the 65th country to have become available in Street View. Google announced today that it partnered with the Prime Minister’s Office in Bangladesh through the country’s Access to Information Programme to make this happen.

In addition to checking out Bangladesh’s two largest cities, users can also take in digital panoramic images of 42 of the country’s most famous historic, heritage and tourism sites on Google Maps.

Anir Chowdhury, Policy Advisor, Access to Information Programme, Prime Minister’s Office, has said that Bangladesh will work with Google to cover more of the country on Street View in the near future.
