Google co-founder Sergey Brin may be in charge of the company’s X moonshot research division, but that hasn’t stopped CEO Larry Page from also pursuing some high-flying ideas of his own. According to a report from The Information, Page has expressed interest in building a more efficient airport and a model city.
Writer Amir Efrati noted that Page pulled together his top lieutenants last year to envision what “Google 2.0” would look like and set new goals for the firm. The initiative, which involved group workshops, floated ideas around subscription products, child-friendly services, and indoor positioning. Page has also reportedly considered a new R&D division, similar to Google X, that he would oversee.
