Google will host a live, donatable ‘Hangout-a-thon’ with charities tomorrow for Giving Tuesday

For the first time, Google will host a live, group video call on Google+ Hangouts tomorrow, known as Giving Tuesday, so users can watch, converse and donate with charities fighting for a worthy cause.

Starting at 9am ET tomorrow, you’ll be able to drop into the Giving Tuesday page on Google+ and join a Hangout with a charity of your choosing. These include a morning yoga session with the Africa Yoga Project in Kenya, as well as a call with representatives for Save the Children and UNICEF currently helping with the relief efforts in the Philippines.

The “Hangout-a-thon” will be 12 hours long according to TechCrunch, and offer a one-click shortcut so that viewers can easily donate to any of the charities taking part in the live broadcast.
