Following a roll-out in the US earlier this year, Google is adding info cards to the Google Play Movies & TV app in the UK.
Similar to Amazon’s X-Ray feature, Android users can now pause the video they’re watching and instantly review a series of Google Now-style information cards, which can identify the actor or actress currently on-screen, the soundtrack and any related films or TV shows.
It’s a small feature, but one that will save you the trouble of launching IMDB or Shazam every time your curiosity is piqued by a particular movie star or record that’s playing in the background.
