Twitter designer Paul Stamatiou has published a mammoth article today describing precisely why, after many years of devotion to iOS, he now believes “Android is Better”.
It’s an extremely convincing article and if there’s the smallest bone in your body considering making the switch, then I expect there’ll be many more by the end of the article.
To quote one of his opening paragraphs:
A week in it started feeling normal; the larger form factor was no longer a nuisance. A month in I didn’t miss anything about my iPhone. Two months in I sold my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. It has now been three months since I made the switch. I’m loving Android.
I’m still hanging in there, just about. But if iOS 7 and the next major iPhone release doesn’t impress, I’ll be making the move I never thought I’d make.
