New Street View images take you inside Google HQ

Ever wanted to visit Google’s Mountain View HQ? New images have been published on Google Street View which allow you to explore the Googleplex in more detail than ever.

The images take you around the pathways on the campus, past groups of waving Googlers on Charleston Road, and even into the reception area of the legendary Building 43 where some the company’s most senior staff work, complete with lava lamps and an old British red telephone box. Sadly, you can’t find your way to Larry Page’s office.

The Sociable spotted the new imagery and even noticed that it appears to have been captured in August this year, thanks to the date on the noticeboard inside Building 43 (you have to zoom closely to see it). However, we spotted this autumnal-looking carpark, indicating that some imagery may be even newer. Although, it’s worth pointing out that not all of the images are from this year; some of it is watermarked as 2011, some as 2009.

You can’t explore everywhere on the campus (it’s mainly the outdoor sections), but it’s fun to drop the little yellow Street View icon anywhere on the map of the Googleplex and see what you find. If you’ve ever wanted to be a Googler, this is your chance to pretend that you are from the comfort of your own home.

We’ve embedded Building 43’s lobby below.
