Samsung will pay you $100 to switch your Note 7 to another Galaxy

Samsung will pay you $100 to switch your Note 7 to another Galaxy

When Samsung’s Note 7 troubles first started, it offered users $25 – in addition to a device exchange – for all the turmoil. But as users started switching to other brands instead, it seems the company realized it might have to offer users a bit more incentive to to stay on the Galaxy platform now that the Note 7 has been discontinued altogether.

The company today announced that starting 3 PM ET, customers can return their devices and receive “up to a $100 total bill credit” for customers exchanging their Note 7 for any Samsung smartphone. If you already recieved $25 from the initial recall – Samsung will give your extra $75.

If you switch to another brand though, you’re stuck with 25 bucks. Womp.

To be clear, the $100 credit is in addition to a refund for the price difference between the Note 7 and other Samsung phones, as well as any respective accessories at the time of purchase.

The exact prices vary depending on where you bought your device, but given the Note7 retailed for about $900, the S7 Edge for $780 and the S7 for about $670, you could get quite a hefty sum of cash back for your troubles.
