LG 360 Cam is a 360-degree camera that captures every direction with a single snap

LG 360 Cam is a 360-degree camera that captures every direction with a single snap

If you’ve ever found yourself wishing to take a photo in every direction, LG’s new accessory is for you. The LG 360 cam is a new device that takes a photo in every direction with a single snap, just like Google Street View.

It’s a cool gimmick and syncs automatically with your phone so you can view the shot. To snap a 360-degree phot, just hold the camera above your head, snap the photo and it’s synced to your phone.

The 360 Cam uses two ‘extreme’ fisheye lenses to capture the world in 2K resolution, as well as capturing audio in 5.1 surround sound when you take a snap.

LG actually invited Charles Armstrong, Google Street View Product Manager, to its event at MWC in Barcelona today, who said that the company wants to look at letting the community contribute to the service in a “shared dynamic map.”

All photos shared to Street View will now be stored by the company in full resolution, for free.

LG didn’t talk pricing or availability for the 360 Cam or its VR accessories.
