There was a flurry of interest when London-based design studio BERG first announced its Little Printer late last year, and at last itâs available for pre-order.
As a refresher, the Little Printer is stylish device that could best be thought of as a âstock ticker but for Web contentâ. It sits on your desk and prints out information it receives from sources you configure via a mobile app.
At launch, youâll be able to get news from The Guardian, your friendsâ latest Foursquare checkins, your to-do list from Google Tasks, a mini-series of publications from design and engineering firm Arup, details of events youâve signed up to on Lanyrd (delivered on the day of the event) and much more. A developer API is also now available to allow anyone to add extra content.
At just 4.25âł high, this thermal printer plays up its cuteness by sporting a smiley face on its front. If you donât like the default one, you can choose from a total of four and just print out your favorite.
The BERG Little Printer costs $259 USD (ÂŁ199 GBP) and pre-orders are open today, shipping in 60 days.
