Report: Facebook and pro.com partner to connect users to handymen via Messenger

Facebook Messenger may soon help you find a handyman.

In a partnership with pro.com, Facebook Messenger users will reportedly be able to get bids from contractors for just about any service needed around the home.

Bloomberg reports Facebook won’t make any money from the partnership at first, and that transactions could come via Messenger’s payment system currently meant for peer-to-peer payments.

It’s similar to what Amazon is doing with its contractor matching system, except Facebook’s pro.com partnership goes into your repair work a bit blind. Amazon tries to match you up at checkout, based on the items you’ve purchased.
