Facebook appears to be testing new profile pages for mobile users

The Facebook app on your phone may soon look a lot different. It seems the company is A/B testing a new profile layout, incorporating some visual changes.

As you can see in the picture below (via Twitter), the profile picture has moved to the center, rather than being docked on the left. Names are now below the profile picture, and the cover photo looks a touch smaller.

The only screenshot we’ve seen has a pop-up notification letting the user know his profile has a new look, so we’re unable to see if the About, Photos and Friends tiles are still there.

When we asked what was going on here, a Facebook spokesperson said “we’re testing a redesign of the mobile version of profile that improves the profile layout and better presents information about a person.”
