Facebook updates embedded posts with design focused on visual content, faster load times, and default widths

Facebook today released an update to Embedded Posts, which allows you to add any public Facebook post to your blog or website. The new version includes a revamped design focused on visual content, faster load times, and per-publisher default widths.

The first improvement means posts that include photos and videos will show them above the post’s text and other content:

Embedded Posts now load up to twice as fast as before, according to Facebook. The company hopes this speed bump will mean you’re more likely to embed multiple posts on the same page. As for per-publisher default widths, the width that you set when configuring the embed plugin can now be saved for future embeds.
