Instagram update with 15 second video support now available on iOS and Android

Instagram for iOS has just been updated with support for video. Android users are not yet seeing the update, but it is expected to arrive shortly. iPhone owners can download the updated app here. Update: It’s here for Android, too!

In case you missed the news, Instagram users can now upload short video clips (a la Vine) to the service — 15 seconds worth to be exact. Of course, these videos can be filtered: Instagram has released 13 new video-only filters, in addition to basic editing features.

Here’s a peek at the updated app:

In addition to this news, Facebook announced that 16 billion photos have been shared on Instagram. Instagram now has 130 million monthly active users, and users have liked photos 1 billion times.
