It’s that time of the year! For all the geeks, startup enthusiasts and media elite in New York City, it’s time to burn the candles at both ends and celebrate all that is good and holy about the Internet. Internet Week NY kicks off on May 14th with a week long program of speakers, panels and cocktail parties, culminating in the 16th annual Webby Awards, which honors websites, interactive advertising, online film and video and mobile apps.
To kick off the week’s entrepreneurial spirit, FoundersCard, an invite-only community of entrepreneurs and innovators will be hosting a party on Monday, May 14th from 7-9pm in Soho, just around the corner from the Internet Week HQ. No panels, no speakers, and no gimmicks: this cocktail-reception style FC Signature Event is designed to allow members to connect, collaborate, engage and unwind with fellow leading entrepreneurs and innovators.
Not a member? Now’s your chance. Instead of paying $100 for a ticket, we’re pleased to offer TNW readers the chance to win 20 VIP Guest Tickets to the night’s event. Just enter our Facebook giveaway here.
Don’t know about FoundersCard? Let me fill you in. While building a startup, FoundersCard CEO Eric J. Kuhn realized that entrepreneurs need to travel well and want to receive similar treatment as the CEO of Goldman Sachs, but their bootstrapping ways combined with a lack of a corporate discount necessitate they do so on a budget.
So he started FoundersCard, a global community of entrepreneurs and innovators that offers a unique benefits program so startup founders can have the same sweet deals that c-level execs enjoy from large corporations. These discounts include offers from hundreds of businesses like Apple, Rackspace, Moo, FedEx, spas, online shopping sites, hotels, airlines, telecom companies and other great services like Zipcar, Uber, LimoRes and Roomorama.
In late January, FoundersCard celebrated its 2nd birthday adding 50 new properties in over 20 new locations with brands such as Four Seasons, Viceroy W Hotels, Mandarin Oriental, Kimpton, and Park Hyatt. Members will also enjoy new benefits like Hertz’s Five Star Gold Service and exclusive all-access passes to David Barton Gyms. Recently, FoundersCard announced exciting partnerships with Lufthansa, Andre Balazs, TripItPro, and Rag and Bone.
Monday night’s event takes place from 7-9pm at Artists Space in Soho, located on the 3rd floor of 38 Greene Street, NY, NY 10013. More details here. Win tickets below.
