Clearbit, a provider of business intelligence APIs, has launched a service for getting company logos into your app.
The API is free and grabs company logos from a number of sources including Wikipedia, Twitter, Facebook or directly via their meta links.
It’s pretty easy to get user avatars into your app using Gravatar, but Clearbit saw a need for a similar service to exist for company logos.
To get the logo for any company you only need to make a single API call and it’s returned as a link to a resized version hosted on Clearbit’s content delivery network.
