There are already a few tools out there for building static pages on GitHub – Jeykll, Octopress and Awestruct among them – but the creators of HubPress wanted to make a way of hosting a blog that didn’t require as much technical knowhow.
To run a blog from your GitHub account using HubPress, you just need to fork the Hubpress.io repository then add your Disqus shortname and Google Analytics tracking ID in settings if you want to use those services.
It’s worth noting that HubPress is still in preview and the developers are looking for feedback. You can see how the web app works in the demo below:
