Josey Vogels a popular sex columnist in Canada, is an expert on sex & relationships and she has shared advice with publications such as Chatelaine and the Woman’s Television network as well as CBC Radio.

Today for the first time, you will have a chance to directly ask her for bedroom or relationship advice on Facebook. The Q & A session will be happening all day from the Mark News Facebook wall, a popular source for Canadian news.

Obviously, you might not want to post your most intimate questions publicly on Facebook but you could try sending her a private message or email.

Sex Advice for Tech Geeks

We had a chance to speak with Josey Vogels earlier today and she shared with us some juicy sex and relationship advice for tech geeks.

Vogels began her career 18 years ago in Montreal when she started her first sex column “My Messy Bedroom”. She has a background in journalism and told us she created the column because at the time, not many writers were doing it.

Although Vogels admitted she’s a newbie within the social media space, she said that she’s using Twitter and is beginning to utilize the platform although she has been quite busy writing her latest book. This will be her sixth.

We asked Vogels why she decided to do a live Facebook Q & A session and if she’ll be doing it more often.

Vogels said she definitely likes the format of live Q & A because it tests her ability to provide advice off the cuff and says it helps her expand from the traditional forms she’s used to. She also tells us she plans on hosting more sessions throughout the year.

We explained to her that many of our readers (including our writers) spend a better part of their day online, so we asked her for some specific sex and relationship advice for tech geeks.

Vogels said on one hand computers provide great opportunities to meet people through social media and various outlets. Although, at some point you will need to expand your social world because she says there’s nothing like a face-to-face.

While Vogels likes sites like Lavalife, she tells us that she is suspect of any dating website that claims to offer an algorithm to match you with the ideal partner. She used eHarmony as an example, stating that their scientific method of finding you the right partner, while she thinks there’s a bit of value there, often oversells its ability and creates false promises. Dating sites often make people feel like they are “shopping” but unlike using social media “you don’t have to beat around the bush” she said. Vogels also mentions that Facebook and Twitter are both great networks to find people and says it mimics the face-to-face interaction.

And for tech geeks in a relationship…

There are a variety of ways a tech obsessed couple can incorporate technology to spice up their sex lives, she says. One way is to browse sexy sites together, not necessarily  traditional online porn, but anything that enables you to discover and explore your sexual horizons together. Additionally if you’ve got more than one computer, couples can try out a kinky video chat or even try out technology such as dilldonics. We’ll leave you to Google search that term yourself.
