1Password has a new family plan to help you manage passwords for up to 5 people

1Password has a new family plan to help you manage passwords for up to 5 people

Popular password service 1Password has a new tier for families, which is based on their Teams infrastructure.

With 1Password for Families, a group of up to five people can have a synced vault along with their private 1Password account. It’s handy for when one person needs to change a password used by the group (Netflix, Wi-Fi, etc.), and will help those with less technical know-how use 1Password because it can be managed for them.

For a group of five, 1Password for Families is only $5 per month. After one user purchases 1Password and starts a family group, the others will get a license to use 1Password (so they don’t have to pay it), and comes with the complete 1Password suite — Mac, iOS, Android and Windows.

To encourage sign-ups, 1Password is offering the first month free. If you create an account before March 21, you’ll get a $10 credit (two months free) and the ability to add two extra family members to your plan.
