Swarm is still thirsty for your check-in activities, and will now let you do so belatedly if you noticed you might have been at specific establishments at some point in your day.
The latest version of Swarm for iOS (3.2) states that the app will now suggest places to check in later so you can add those places to your location history. The goal is to help those who may have experienced bad reception or are hanging out with actual friends outside of their phone screens, and thus are unable to check in.
That said, the app will continue doing its best to prompt you to check into a place when you’re actually there so you can earn any badges or mayorships. Alongside the update for iOS 9, users will now receive support for quick reply notifications when they receive messages. No word on when Android will receive similar updates.
Are all the gamification features convincing you to return to Swarm? Guess we’ll have to wait and see what comes out of Foursquare headquarters next…
