Spotify’s new ‘Discover Weekly’ feature brings you two hours of tailored music every Monday

Spotify want to help make it easier to find new music you’ll enjoy listening to. The streaming service today launched the Discover Weekly playlist, which contains a personalized selection of songs based on your listening habits.

Now when you log into Spotify, you’ll see Discover Weekly at the top of the playlists section of the app. It’s not jut a collection of the songs you already like either; Spotify says the playlist will sometimes try to nudge you in new directions and take into account the habits of people with similar tastes as well.

Your Discover Weekly selection is updated every Monday morning, and contains around two hours of music. Just like any other playlist, you can still share them with friends.

The company calls the new features its “best-ever recommendations.” We’ll have to put that to the test over time, and there’s no way to directly customize the sort of music Discover Weekly will surface, but it’s good to see Spotify pushing towards helping users find new music.
