There’s now a YouTube app for Android Wear, because who cares about battery life?

Catching YouTube on your smartwatch would probably be the worst video experience ever, but at least now you can. Developer Appfour’s latest creation is a YouTube player for Android Wear that includes search and Chromecast support.

It’s actually not the worst idea in the world. Video for Android Wear&YouTube (sic) lets you look up videos using your voice and can then beam it to your Chromecast-equipped TV, so your watch could double up as a remote control on your wrist.

If you’re the sort who’s fine watching videos on a tiny screen, you’ll also appreciate the app’s support for Bluetooth headphones.

I’d try and warn you about how much battery life it will probably use up — most Android Wear watches manage only a single day on a full charge as it is — but you’re likely too busy searching for LifeAccordingToJimmy’s latest clips on it already.
