Opera Mini for Android just got a lot better on larger devices

Opera Mini, the data-saving mobile browser, has got a nice little update on Android that rounds out its feature set and refreshes its look.

The free app now has a scalable interface that works with high-resolution phones and tablets, and includes options to customize the browser layout so its functions are more easily accessible on larger devices.

There’s also a new private browsing mode that doesn’t track your history or save cookies. In addition, the Discover newsfeed has been updated to bring users more fresh content from around the Web.

The main menu has also been simplified and the Speed Dial feature has got a visual overhaul. And since this is Opera Mini, the browser now includes a counter to show you how much data you’ve saved thanks to the app’s webpage compression technology.
