Evernote has updated its note-taking app on iOS with new camera functionality and support for the upcoming Apple Watch.
Inspired by its own Scannable document scanning app, Evernote on iOS now lets you auto-capture images when you point your camera at documents, whiteboards and business cards. And as with Scannable, you can connect to LinkedIn to get more info about your new contacts when scanning cards.
In addition, the app will let you dictate notes and reminders into your Apple Watch when it launches, and they’ll be instantly transcribed and synced to your account.
You’ll also be able to dictate searches, view results and even read your latest notes on your wrist.
Evernote has also added suggested notes in the Today view widget, and now lets you start a work chat right from the app’s home screen.
The app has also got a visual refresh on Android tablets. It’s now in line with Google’s Material Design guidelines.
