Payment service Venmo is suffering from a major outage [Update: It’s back!]

Update: Venmo is back up now.

If you’ve tried to pay your friends via payment service app Venmo, they’re probably pretty bummed right now because the service is suffering from a major outage.

According to the Venmo status page, the service is having problems with no word on when it will return. The Braintree owned app allows friends to quickly and easily make payments via the Venmo app.

Hopefully the service will return so we can continue our check splitting and rent paying ways with the mobile app.
