Along with a Material Design refresh and search filters, the latest update for YouTubeβs Android app allows users in Indian, Indonesian and Filipino markets to save videos to their devices to watch offline.
The new feature is available for select content including movies, music videos, trailers and more, so that users in areas where high-speed mobile data connections arenβt easily accessible can enjoy buffer-free video.

Once videos are downloaded, they can be played back from the appβs Offline section without the need for an Internet connection for up to 48 hours. Users can also choose the quality of the videos theyβre downloading, which helps manage available bandwidth and device storage space.
