Dropbox reveals it’s arriving for Windows Phone and Windows tablets ‘in the coming months’

Among all the hullabaloo today that Dropbox and Microsoft are now playing nice and integrating, Dropbox dropped an interesting extra nugget – it’s finally coming to Windows Phone and Windows tablet users.

Though there are third-party clients available already on Windows Phone, an official Dropbox app has always been a glaring omission in Microsoft’s mobile armory – a sign perhaps of the hitherto rivalry between the companies. But alongside the news of the new Office/Dropbox tie-up, it’s clear that any hatchet is now deep in the ground.

The cloud-storage giant was non-specific about its arrival on the Windows mobile platforms, but did say that it would be some time in the “coming months.”
