PlaceUs, the automated smart location-sharing app, lands on Android

PlaceUs, the automated smart location-sharing app, lands on Android

Alohar Mobile, a new startup led by former Google Location Server architect Sam Liang, has launched its smart location-sharing app for Android. This move comes three months after PlaceUs launched for iPhone.

It’s core goal is to help people stay connected with a close circle of friends and family. To do this, you must permit it to monitor your every move, as it learns your routines so it can send a message to your other half when you’re on your way home from work, or perhaps stuck in traffic. Moreover, PlaceUs can also observe if you haven’t been to the gym in a while, for example, and sends you a reminder accordingly.

When we first covered PlaceUs, it was only available in the US and Canada, but it has since opened internationally. You can grab PlaceUs from Google Play now.
