EyeEm’s iOS social photography app gets a fancy new camera

EyeEm’s iOS social photography app gets a fancy new camera

Amongst the swarm of new and updated iOS apps today comes a notable refresh of social photography app EyeEm.

Just weeks after a major redesign, the Berlin-based company has unveiled a great-looking, reworked camera function with a built-in camera roll that shows images at their proper aspect ratio. It really does look very nice indeed and puts the emphasis wholly on the image you’re taking rather than any messy UI clutter.

The update also offers iOS 8-only features. These include the ability to correct exposure on images by swiping up and down on them, plus interactive elements for every banner push notification (such as being able to reply to comments or follow users back), and the ability to share to EyeEm from other apps.
