Homejoy launches its first cleaner-booking app for iPhone

Homejoy, a service for booking a cleaner in the US, the UK and Canada, has today launched its first native iPhone app.

Users simply input their cleaning requirements and select a preferred date to receive a cost estimate based on how long it should take. To help make estimates a bit more accurate, it also allows for the addition of specific tasks, like cleaning the oven, doing laundry or cleaning the refrigerator.

While the service as a whole is operating in London in the UK, the app is currently only available to download in the US and Canada, although we’d expect to see it make the jump across the pond soon enough. And yes, an Android app is on the way too, although exactly when is still to be decided.

Rival domestic services startup Helpling launched its own app last month.
