Medium’s read-only iOS app now supports the iPad

Medium’s read-only iOS app now supports the iPad

Popular publish platform Medium introduced an iOS app in March and today, two months later, it has made the beautifully simplistic app available for the iPad too.

Medium for iOS remains read-only, but the new update now lets you follow other users from inside the app — in a Twitter-like fashion — and add a note when you recommend content from your mobile device. Optimizing Medium for the iPad makes absolute sense as the device is ideal for consuming content and reading.

Medium founder Ev Williams previously said that the app was developed over a six month period and was designed to be simple because the most difficult part of the company’s work is content, design and software should not get in the way of this. Those that publish content on the platform must continue to do so from the web, for now at least.
