Instead of making smart (or stupid) guesses about your estimated time of arrival (ETA) whenever you’re caught in a moving car on your way to meet your friends, private car hire startup Uber wants to ease such concerns and do the work for you.
Uber, the service that lets you call upon a sleek private car via your smartphone, has updated its app to include a nifty sharing feature for your ETA and a live map that lets others see exactly where you are.
All you have to do is choose “Share My ETA” in the menu next to your driver’s name, key in the destination, then choose the people you want to share this information with. Each person will get a text message with your ETA and also receive access to a live map that tracks your location.
