Skype has enabled HD-quality video calls from its iPad app for those with a 4th generation device, five months after Microsoft’s own Windows Phone 8 Skype app got HD support.

The release notes add that the update brings a number of “general improvements” to the call quality and stability, as well as a redesigned country-code picker on the dial-pad.

Version 4.10 of the Skype iPad app is available to download now.
