There are a number of options for companies looking to maximize the exposure of their press releases. Now one such service, PressDoc, is expanding  its offering with a new feature, Open Press Rooms.

Until now, PressDoc (disclosure: PressDoc is part of The Next Web family of companies) has given companies their own hub for multimedia press releases, with tools to broaden their reach and measure their performance. Now with Open Press Rooms, it’s offering a central location for PR firms, conferences, tradeshows, accelerators, investment funds and the like to share releases from multiple sources in a central location.

For example, a tech conference could publish all the press releases from companies making announcements on stage, while a VC firm could share all its portfolio companies’ news in one place. The benefit for journalists and bloggers is that they only need to check one place for the latest releases.

PressDoc is launching the new feature with a number of partners. On the accelerator side, Startupbootcamp and Rockstart will both be using it, while the IDCEE, How To Web, NOAH and (unsurprisingly) The Next Web conferences are also on board.

Open Press Rooms can be hosted by PressDoc, or on a company’s own site. There are two pricing options; Pay As You Go and Subscription. With Pay As You Go, you pay 3 credits (€19 each) for a skinned OpenPressRoom on your own domain once and only when you have a new press release yourself you pay 1 credit. The PressRoom is Open for others to distribute their news in at all times. With Subscription, for €22.50 per month you get unlimited press releases, a skinned OpenPressRoom on your own domain and you can add articles from third party sources to the page.
