One of the great things about Posterous is that it can be used as a really easy group blogging platform. Now Posterous has made an improvement that makes it possible for groups to manage their entire social media output from one email address.
Group blogs, in which more that one person can post to the same blog, can now have a ‘Group Profile’ instead of a personal one. This means that your group blog posts can now also get sent to your group Facebook or Twitter accounts, or any of the other services supported by Posterous.
Posterous is clearly aiming squarely at businesses with this new feature. It’s a subtle change, but one that makes managing a business’ social media presence a whole lot simpler.
Posterous’ USP has always been its simplicity. Lets hope as it develops an increasing number of features it can hold onto what made it so appealing in the first place.
