Apple launches ‘Home’ on iOS to manage all your HomeKit devices

Apple is giving iOS 10 a single place to handle all your HomeKit devices, and it’s just simply called ‘Home.’

The app is preloaded onto iOS 10 and watchOS 3, and allows you to see all your HomeKit devices and perform actions on them. Furthermore, a feature called ‘Scenes’ lets you adjust multiple devices at once. For example, you could turn off all the lights in a room and close your window shades with a particular scene.

Continuing a the theme throughout its iOS presentation at WWDC, you can also adjust your HomeKit hardware right from your lockscreen, as it’s integrated right into the Control Center.

Apple TV plays a big role too – it can sense when you’ve entered the home network, acting as an entry point for controlling your devices.
