Apple’s Beats One radio station to launch on June 30 at 9AM PT

Apple’s Beats One radio station to launch on June 30 at 9AM PT

For some users on iOS 8.4 and 9, a ‘Radio’ tab has gone live within the Music app. It features the new Beats One radio station, which launches later this month.

Beats One isn’t broadcasting live yet, but is playing an introduction loop that teases the experience, voiced by Zane Lowe, Ebro Darden, and Julie Adenuga. It also pegs the official launch time to be 9AM Pacific on June 30.

The new Radio tab is only live in some regions, including the US, UK, Canada and Germany.

It’s still unclear if Apple Music is launching with all features globally on June 30, though the Beats One site says that it’ll stream live simultaneously to “over 100 countries” at launch.
