The iPad Mini is 7.2mm thick — about a quarter thinner than the 4th gen iPad. Schiller called it “thinner than a pencil.” It’s 0.68 lbs and 53% lighter and comes in black and white, as usual. With a resolution of 1024 x 768, the iPad Mini has the same resolution as the iPad 2.

Diving deeper, the iPad Mini features an A5 chip, Lightning connector, 5MP back camera and FaceTime HD front camera as well as 2x faster WiFi and 10hr battery life. It will also feature LTE connectivity in some models. From Apple:

Everything you love about iPad — the beautiful screen, fast and fluid performance, FaceTime and iSight cameras, thousands of amazing apps, 10-hour battery life* — is everything you’ll love about iPad mini, too. And you can hold it in one hand.
