The new iPhone 5 will maintain the same pricing as the iPhone 4S when it arrives on September 21st. Pre-orders for the device will begin on September 14th.
The device will cost $199, $299 and $399 for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. It will launch in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and then come to 22 more countries a week later on September 28th. iOS 6 will land a couple days earlier on September 19.
The September 28 roll out will include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Apple took the wraps off its highly-anticipated next-generation iPhone on Wednesday at a media event in San Francisco. The handset features an extended 4-inch screen, an A6 processor and LTE connectivity. It is also the first to use Apple’s new “Lightning” dock connector, which is 80 percent smaller, reversible and is said to have improved durability.
